Tom Dixon Melt Mini LED Pendant

The Melt collection

Melt is a product of the cooperation between Tom Dixon and the Swedish designers collective FRONT. This cooperation started from the idea to create an imperfect, organic and naturalistic object. The result is a collection of lights made from beautiful mouth blown glass lightbulbs. The light reflects on an odd number of surfaces, which creates a dramatic molten glass effect. Tom Dixon and FRONT extended their Melt collection with a series of pendant lamps, wall lights, floor lights and table lamps.

Tom Dixon

Tom Dixon is an autodidact designer. Since he started, back when he turned old metal into radical furniture in the 1980’s, Dixon has reinvented himself time and again. He has worked with Cappellini, was creative the director at Habitat and Artek, he founded Eurolounge and last but not least, he started his own brand ‘Tom Dixon’ in 2002. Tom Dixon designs exentric light objects, accessories and furniture.
