Phillipe Starck (1949) is a French designer and interior architect. His oeuvre is extremely divers. Starck does not only design lamps and accessories, he has also designed a motorcycle, door knobs and many more objects. Up until today, Starck is a huge influence in the design world.
Philippe Starck presents a series of pendant lamps, wall lights, floor lights and table lamps with his KTribe collection for Flos. Each of these lamps are based on one principle: the lamp shade. The lamp shade from the KTribe collection has a familiar and nostalgic feel. This semi-translucent, modernised version of the old-fashioned lamp shade hides a light source which provides a diffused light.
